Upon approval of application, new members will be issued a
quality nickel plated badge forged especially for the Association and made
in the USA by the V. H. Blackinton Co., a well known badge maker for many
law enforcement agencies. Each badge will be numbered and recorded.
Members will also receive a t-shirt with the OWMLA logo on the left front,
as well as a window decal and a membership card. A quarterly newsletter
will be sent out and new members will be profiled in a "Welcome New
Members" section. To display authenticity in appearance members will be
encouraged to acquire period clothing similar to that worn by Wyatt Earp,
Bat Masterson and others. Some of that will include the old style frock
coat (black, brown or grey), old west style white shirt with string tie,
old west style pants, boots, spurs, etc.
Activities will center around parades and other functions
where it would be practical to ride mounted in a group.
Basic membership dues are $100.00 for the first year and
$35.00 per yearly renewal or $90.00 to renew for 3 years. OWMLA dues are utilized to fund the purchase of
quality member-issued merchandise as well as advertising and the
sponsorship of OWMLA functions. For more information or an application,
